Five Weeks Down, Three to Go 🤍

Happy Sunday 🤍

We are officially FIVE WEEKS DOWN AND THREE TO GO. 🥹

The babies are changing so much now. They’re playing harder, getting increasingly curious, interacting with us more and starting to give us those first little glimpses of who they actually are.

I’m working my way through updated puppy pictures today, so those are coming right behind this post. 📸

A couple things as we head into these final weeks:

If you haven’t poked around the updated Labrador Lounge yet, now is a good time. Your puppy information, reservation details and everything you’ll need between now and go-home are all there.

Starting TOMORROW, your Weekly Wisdom schedule begins. These emails will walk you through what the puppies are doing each week, what you should be doing at home to get ready and anything I need from you as we get closer to pickup.

PLEASE read your Weekly Wisdom emails as they come through. Each week unlocks as we move through the schedule, just like the roster, and the information builds week by week. This is where things start moving quickly, so staying caught up is important.

Speaking of pickup…

Halloween falls on Saturday this year. 🎃 I will absolutely be doing Saturday pickups, but I’m going to keep that day shorter so I can also be a mom on Halloween. 😂

Because of that, I’m opening Friday pickup appointments as well.

Pickup appointments will be made one family at a time based on your selection position. You’ll be notified the same way you normally receive updates, by text and/or email, when it’s time to schedule your appointment.

If Friday works for your family and an appointment is available based on your selection position, PLEASE grab Friday. That would be wonderful. If Friday doesn’t work or isn’t available for your position, no stress. You’ll receive the scheduling information when it’s your turn.

Over these next few weeks I’ll also be watching the puppies much more closely for temperament: confidence, energy, people-focus, independence, recovery from something new and all of those little things that help me really get to know them before they head home.

A quick collar cheat sheet for the photos:

Dora’s litter:
• The two chocolates are Red and Yellow.
• The two girls are Purple and Light Purple.
• The two black males are Cream and Gray.

Purdy’s litter:
• The charcoal girls are in two different shades of Pink.
• The two black males are in the two Green collars.
• The chocolate female is also in Pink.
• The charcoal male is in the Dark Gray/Silver collar.

And if you’re wondering how on earth we aren’t mixing everybody up 😂, most of them are easy to distinguish by coat color and sex. The only group I really need to keep extra tabs on is the four black males between the two litters. Purdy’s two black boys are already microchipped and will continue wearing their Green collars, while Dora’s two black boys are Cream and Gray. So we have multiple ways to make sure everybody stays exactly who they’re supposed to be. 🤍

The Puppy Cam is currently down, and I cannot wait to have it back up. Unfortunately, the antenna met some very determined momma teeth, so it is not working right now. 😂 I’ll keep you posted when it’s back online.

Five weeks down. Three to go. 🤍

Now back to attempting to photograph a bunch of tiny Labradors who have absolutely no interest in cooperating with me. 😂

Referral Incentive Program

Know someone who would be a great Guardian Family for one of our Labradors? Referrals help us place future breeding dogs into the kind of homes we want for them from the very beginning.
  1. Refer a Family: Share our Guardian Home Program with a friend or family member who may be a good fit.
  2. Application and Approval: The referred family completes our Guardian application and must be approved for the program.
  3. Puppy Placement: Wild Labradors selects and places an appropriate Guardian puppy with the approved family.
  4. First Litter Milestone: After their Guardian dog completes a successful first litter with Wild Labradors (minimum of three saleable puppies) and those puppies go home, we’ll send you a one-time $500 referral thank-you.

Important Details:

  • The referred family must meet all Guardian Program requirements and be a good fit for the dog and our program.
  • The referral payment is earned after the Guardian dog completes a qualifying first litter. Whelping and puppy care take place with Wild Labradors, not in the Guardian home.
  • Payment is processed after the puppies from that litter go home.
  • This is a one-time payment per referred family.

How to Refer a Family:

  1. Send them to our Guardian Home Program page and have them complete the application.
  2. Ask them to include your name as the referring family.
  3. We’ll take it from there. Thank you for helping us build a program where our breeding dogs grow up in real homes with families who love them.
